What is Wildstar?
WildStar is an MMORPG set in a science fantasy universe, on a mysterious and dangerous planet called “Nexus”. This planet is home to the “Eldan”, the most technologically advanced race in the universe. These masters of science and magic mysteriously disappeared a thousand years ago, leaving the planet with a multitude of technological and arcane secrets wide open for others to grab, while exposing themselves to the looming threat of... whatever happened to the “Eldan”.

That depends on what you're looking for. There is a path system, separate from leveling, that awards skills and abilities from each path. Settler, scientist, soldier, and settler.

There will be arenas (2v2, 3v3, 5v5) at max level, along with battlegrounds which you can level with if you so choose. There will also be a PvP/PvE/and Roleplaying servers. World PvP will also be available in the launch game, but more information is needed on objectives and rewards.

Wildstar uses a “Telegraph System”. It is similar to TERA and GW2. Positioning is key, and good players are easy to see.

Closed beta testing started on April 10, 2013. Recently there has been BETA weekends. Keep your eyes open for keys. Expected Release is Spring 2014.

WARNING: Chinese users will likely need a VPN to connect to the NCSoft website. The login server is NOT blocked in China, at least not yet. :-)

What about the payment model? 关于支付模式？
The payment model is a hybrid subscription model.You must buy the game (it comes with 30 free days). Other players can sell game time (CREDD) on the in game market for Wildstar gold. You can use CREDD to play for free!

Players will be able to choose between two factions: the Dominion, and the Exiles. Similar to Alliance and Horde of CWOW. The Dominion is evil and likes to fight. The Exiles are looking for a new planet because the Dominion stole their planets.

The Warrior is a sword swinging front line melee fighter. Wears medium (eventually heavy) armor. DPS and tanks.

The Spellslinger uses two guns mixed with magic.They use light armor and have very high movement. Hard to get close to one in PVP. They have considerable ranged damage, as well as support others with their healing abilities. Healer and DPS.

Raids
20 man and 40 man are very different. Not like CWOW where you can fight the same boss in 25 and 10 man. Bosses can also change abilities and minions weekly.

That is an old BETA picture. You can customize the UI, like in CWOW. Lots of ADDONS like Bartenter4, DBM, and others.

This is the first game release by Carbine studios. It's made to be cartoony, and funny. Not so serious like other games like ESO. The photos I posted are from 2013... so a lot has changed. Remember, still in early beta!
