A graphic showing the number of reported rapes per 100,000 females in India in 2011.
2011年印度的以10万女性为单位的强奸统计图
We already looked at the overall number of reported rape cases in 2011. In this graphic, we broke these figures down for population size. Using data from the National Crime Record Bureau and the 2011 Census, below is how many rape allegations are reported to police for every 100,000 women across India’s states.
The state with the highest rate of reported rapes is Mizoram, with 14.29 rapes being reported for every 100,000 women in 2011. Next are two more northeastern states: Assam and Tripura, with rates of 11.17 and 11.30 reported rapes per 100,000 women, respectively. New Delhi reported 7.36 rapes per 100,000 women.
A high incidence of rapes reported to police isn’t necessarily a bad thing: it also shows that women are willing to turn to law enforcement authorities to seek justice, and that police are registering their complaints. Many victims are reluctant to register complaints with police because of the shame attached to being raped.

.re “Reported Rapes are not genuine Rapes”
No woman reports a rape unless he has been raped. Why would they ??? There is so much pressure and (false) shame influencing women to not report actual rapes, so why would someone make up a rape???
The case will not even get to court unless there is sufficient evidence supporting the claim of rape.
All the Not Guilty or Guilty bit is about is whether the court is convinced that the right person is accused, and that the evidence proves beyond reasonable doubt.
Far from showing only rape cases that have a guilty verdict in court, it would be far more valuable and accurate to have a survey asking women, privately and in confidence, if they have been raped, this year, ever. Then we would see the true prevalence of rape, probably far higher than the number of cases that get to court.

What a load of rubbish ! Of course some rape claims are false and these sometimes result in convictions. I would expect that there are a lot more unreported REAL rapes, but to suggest there are no false claims is just preposterous. See link:
