Almost one in three children born in England and Wales now has at least one foreign- born parent, with Britain set to become the most ethnically diverse Western nation after 2050.
The figures, obtained by Tory M P Nicholas Soames, also show that 18.1 per cent, or 131,288, of the total number of 2011 births had two foreign- born parents.
A further 12.9 per cent - a total of 93,655 - had one parent who was born outside the U K, according to the Daily Mail.

Continuing along that trajectory would put the U K on course to overtake the world’s traditional melting pot the U S.
